What We Do

TECH IN GBV (HERfessions)

HERfessions is an anonymous platform equipped with an online chat room, a resource center for all support services (legal, psycho-social, health, information on available shelters), and a trigger button to report abuse.
The mobile app serves to map the resources available to women and girls at risk and SGBV survivors, building a community of support and also providing anonymity. Its features are extended to cover a virtual ecosystem of collaborative agencies that provide legal aid, vocational/educational, health, psycho-social support, shelter, feeding, and law enforcement.

One of the key differentiating features of the app is access to on-demand shelter either short-term or long-term stay- using a platform model that brings survivors in need of shelter with families (who meet all legal and security requirements) with available shelter. We currently have 71 app downloads and 63 active subscribers.

CAST (Community Advocacy and Storytelling)

CAST – Community Advocacy and Storytelling is our advocacy tool for promoting social justice, peace, and safe spaces for women and girls (SDG5 and SDG16).

We encourage victims and survivors to tell their stories under anonymity; these stories are used (with approved consent) to develop film scripts and produce short films and documentaries used in advocacy and prevention activities, events, and Stage Plays on the impact of sexual and gender-based violence on society.

New Media is a tool that we explore regularly. Previous editions have been a 13 episode series with the hashtag #MenChangingTheNarrative. The series sought to engage men of different works of life to speak to the issues of societal apologists for GBV. These men included celebrities, life coaches, upwardly mobile professionals, as well as religious leaders speaking truth that is recognizable to their peers.

The Empowered Child (TEC)

The Empowered Child (TEC) is a summer camp program that equips children from underserved communities with essential life skills, leadership training, and civic awareness. Through fun, hands-on activities and mentorship, TEC helps young participants build confidence, teamwork, and social responsibility.

The curriculum includes leadership development, child rights education, first aid, career exploration, and character building—all designed to inspire compassionate, responsible future leaders.

We work with schools, communities, and volunteers to deliver impactful learning experiences in a safe, engaging environment.

Previous boot camps have featured self-defense lessons, gratitude journaling and mindfulness, hygiene and growth practices, assertiveness classes, and play therapy.
